Will Pubg Banned in INDIA?
Almost a month ago, gamers in India cheered after they discovered that their favorite mobile game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds otherwise known as PUBG has had a close escape from the Chinese application ban list distributed by the Indian government.
The hugely popular multiplayer game, a staple in Indian Households, didn't find a mention in the long list of 59 Chinese applications which were by and large named as "occupied with exercises which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of state and public order."
But, things took a wild turn on Monday after reports surfaced online-based indicating that more Chinese owned applications could go under the scanner in India when the geopolitical tensions between India and China are at an all-time high. as many as 275 applications are reportedly being examined for potential user privacy violations and national security threats.
With the new update, came the dreaded news for the gamers. It is believed that the most latest list of applications under the scanner includes the incredibly well-known game PUBG Mobile. Notable, Monday also observed the chopping out of 47 applications that cloned the recently prohibited applications.

PUBG was developed by a man named Brendan Greene, who hails from Ireland. Now PUBG for desktops was developed by a South Korean gaming company named Bluehole.
This is the place the Chinese organization Tencent stepped in and at present holds a 10% stakeholder in Bluehole.
So if PUBG is 90% not Chinese, why has it gone under the radar?
In China, the National Intelligence Law of 2017 oversees all tech organizations that are situated in China or are under Chinese ownership.
